Welcome to DyerConversations! My father once told me, ”Be a life-long learner.” My name is Billy Dyer and I want you to take that journey with me. On my channel you will experience the journey of being a life-long learner with me by acquiring the skills to think more critically, investigate truth claims, challenge your own biases, and navigate through all the false information out there. That means we need to be able to abandon long held ideas if the evidence points to a better position. In today’s culture, speaking the truth is risky business. People like to hear what already affirms their current beliefs, not necessarily what is true. Therefore, join me in the search for truth so we can draw conclusion that are Beyond A Reasonable Doubt!! Are you disciplined enough to challenge your thinking? Hit that SUBSCRIBE button to stay up to date on all the latest DyerConversations.

What words should be used during baptism?

Monday Feb 21, 2022
Oftentimes I have hear people question whether they should be baptized again. They have doubts about whether they did it the right way or had the right motives. However, in February 2022 I read an article where the Catholic Church is calling INVALID anyone's baptism that was performed by a certain priest in Arizona over the past 20 years. Why would they do this? All because he used the "wrong words" while performing the baptisms. In this episode we will talk about what he did and what the New Testament says about what goes along with baptism in order to make it legitimate.
