Welcome to DyerConversations! My father once told me, ”Be a life-long learner.” My name is Billy Dyer and I want you to take that journey with me. On my channel you will experience the journey of being a life-long learner with me by acquiring the skills to think more critically, investigate truth claims, challenge your own biases, and navigate through all the false information out there. That means we need to be able to abandon long held ideas if the evidence points to a better position. In today’s culture, speaking the truth is risky business. People like to hear what already affirms their current beliefs, not necessarily what is true. Therefore, join me in the search for truth so we can draw conclusion that are Beyond A Reasonable Doubt!! Are you disciplined enough to challenge your thinking? Hit that SUBSCRIBE button to stay up to date on all the latest DyerConversations.

Did the Old Testament Change?
Monday Jan 18, 2021
Monday Jan 18, 2021
Did Moses write the first five books of the Old Testament (Pentateuch) OR was it the product of oral traditions passed down for hundreds of years and written by people far removed from the original context? In this video we will examine how critical scholars use the "Form-Critical" method to interpret the Old Testament. We will also ask whether it is valid and see whether the evidence points to Mosaic authorship or some other source.

Monday Dec 28, 2020
Monday Dec 28, 2020
Most Bible scholars deny Moses wrote the first five books of the Old Testament. What are their reasons for this? In this episode I will explain how their philosophical approach to the Bible automatically rules out the possibility for them to conclude Mosaic authorship. I will also introduce you as to why they take this approach. We will also explore what the Bible claims internally for the authorship of the Pentateuch (first five books of the Bible).
