Psalm 89 is a key prophecy in the Old Testament referring to Jesus as the Messiah King. It is based on the original promise given to King David in 2 Samuel 7 that God would give him an everlasting Kingdom. This is ultimately fulfilled in Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection.

In 2 Samuel 7, God tells David that the Messiah will come from his descendants and he will have a kingdom that would last forever. Did you know that Jesus is mentioned in the book of Genesis? Of course, not specifically his name but definitely details about him as the Messiah. There are two main passages in Genesis that we will look at in this video. First, the promise to Abraham in Genesis 12 gives us a major detail as to who the Messiah will be. Second, Genesis 49 explains that the Messiah will be of royal lineage. All this is fulfilled in Jesus. Find out how by watching the video.
